In the words of Scalia, the amendment did not mean everyone should have a gun everywhere anytime.

This law is dangerous and expensive and against the advice of those with relevant data and experience regarding public safety. Further, this bill infringes on the rights of private businesses to choose *not* to allow guns on their property. Please listen to your experts and the public commenting here, and veto HB508.

Not only is this bill fiscal irresponsible to our cities but it put citizens' lives at risk. Please stand up to the NRA and put Tennessee first. There is nothing positive that can come from this bill.

Surely you cannot allow our children to be subjected to more carrying of guns to places which represent virtually NO threat. If our TN Legislators are so strong on gun carrying rights, why do they keep such tight security at TN State Offices? How very hypocritical! You are often our only hope for reasoned, objective and non-lobbied decisions. Please veto HB508! Linda Sherman, 9429 Coxboro Dr., Brentwood, TN 37027

Please veto this bill. It is very likely to have unintended consequences. Our cities should not have to worry about expenses such as this bill can bring.
