I do like to see Venus be in the new series of Ninja Turtles & maybe see Mona Lisa & Ninjara come to the new series, because I bet the turtles could use some new girl mutants & a bit of romance too. :) Also, not to make it sound crazy, Mona Lisa looks just like me as a human.

As most, I have been a huge fan of the TMNT franchise and have followed its long yet winding path. While some of the side stories and added in characters have been introduced in the past with no actual tie ins, it is all due to TMNT not having one set story. Reboot after reboot we have endured this but one favorable character as a kid was Venus De Milo. For once it wasn't an rogue ally or enemy, an actual friend that gave diversity and comradery amongst the original team of 4. The crazy thing is that her addition wasn't the obvious... teenagers looking for romance. It was the fact that males can be friends with females just like brothers and sisters can with or without feuds. In my opinion the writers of the Nickelodeon 2012 TMNT reboot is doing a wonderful job of connecting the patchy history of characters together by giving it structure and meaning. I have my own speculations on the series if they were to introduce a Venus and who it might be or not want to be, but at least I can say that what ever may be the outcome I can surely trust Nickelodeons decision.
P.S. Don't even get me started about Mondo Gecko, Usagi Yojimbo or Alopex.

That's my opinion too, but they should put with her 3 other female turtles in the seriens, because 1 female turtle against 4 male turtles. The girls can have a own team, with Venus as leader.

As a 20 year fan of tmnt, ive learned that fans can be hostle and the tmnt universes differ and alter greatly with every series...but all and all we still have our 4 awesome heros...why not 5th? Itll be a fresh start! More toys to sell and a fresh pallet to work on...its practicly 2014 ppl...women already rule the world why not a girl turtle? Not to mention someone female fans and april can relate to besides urma.

Venus can be a character that embodies the valves of the old ways dealing with the new ways. Leo is the opposite, new ways dealing with the old ways. Leo & Venus have a romance that is the kind that they have feelings for each other. But they don't know if it's right, thinking it might just be animal instincts. So they tend to fight their own feels about being in love. Another thing Donnie could be in love with Venus but she thinks of him as a friend. So Donnie fights with Leo that final causes Leo to fess up about his love for Venus.
