This man is a HERO!
PUBLIX, I have already boycotted your store, due to certain policies.
As a mother of four grown sons, I would be proud if they assisted any person in need.
Corporate may still exist in Lakeland but their warehouses are in Jax.
How would they like to be a target?

Do the right thing. I know why you have these policies. But in life sometimes doing what is right does not fit in with the policies. You have a decision to make that will affect how many people perceive how publix treats their employees and where they want to spend their money.

Former Publix employee here and this is total crap! I would have done the same thing Publix needs to thank this man not demote him!!!!!!!!!!

I worked with James Caldwell for many years at the North Port location. He has ALWAYS been the one to stop something that shouldn't be done , and jump into action when needed. After all, he doesn't get paid enough to do such things and does them anyway because it is THE RIGHT THING TO DO! Publix did the same thing to me in a sense, pushed me away from things that are morraly correct. As the years go by, I am more and more dissapointed with how Publix is running their company. It is truely disappointing. Slowly but surely getting away from shopping with Publix.

I think this publix employee went above and beyond for a customer who chose to shop in your store that day but thanks to his heroic actions she didnt have to lose her purse money and belonging in your store as well. I say great job well done he should receive a reward not a demotion. Shame on you publix.

I commend this employee for helping the customer out. She surely wasn't able to pursue the thief. He shouldn't be demoted or receive a pay cut.

Come on people, this man deserves a Medal not a demotion! If Publix persists in this demotion and pay cut, then Publix will not be "my" store any more. There are plenty of other grocery stores that would love to have our $200 a week business.
