Why is Publix encouraging people to look the other way when a crime is committed and ignore the harm being done to others...?
How about some "Do unto others as ye would have them do unto you" instead of "The Good Samaritan must be punished!"

A crime was committed on Publix property. She could sue Publix. The criminal didn't steal Publix items James Caldwell didn't represent Publix per say. James Caldwell was a citizen of the United States doing what we can, when we can to make this country safe.

He should absolutely not be demoted for doing a public service to someone in need. I get the whole "no chasing" policy", but another person has said...this wasnt a petty grocery theft of a can of tuna. This was a womans purse full of money and her identity. He should be rewared.. NOT punished.
