I have worked with him for yrs. And he is carrying person that I know his whole family is the same way. He also did the right thing . Publix should be proud of him for going above and beyond.

Absolutely ridiculous! Sure tell him what he did was against policy. Maybe even give him a day without pay. But you don't punish a man who's a hard worker, and an upstanding citizen, helping one of YOUR customers, by firing or demoting him. On the contrary he showed he is a leader who should be promoted.

I am appalled that you would treat an employee, who obviously has more heart than you do, with such disdain. Obviously, you need to look over your "rules" and take each situation case by case and not rule across the board. I will never be able to walk into one of your stores every again and feel safe that someone would help me if I were ever in that situation the woman was in. What a terrible shame. I have lost confidence in your company as a whole and will think twice about how much I come into one your stores.

This has made me ashamed of the company I have worked for over 20 years. I'm proud of James for doing the right thing. I wonder what Mr.George would say if he were still here with us, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be this scenario.

Publix management seriously needs to reconsider. I am a loyal Publix shopper. I drive past 2 Winn-Dixies to go to Publix. I might have to re-think that decision! Come on Publix!!!!

Publix enjoys screwing good managers who care and ruining families. $20000 pay cuts can destroy lives, cause evictions and bankruptcies. Mr George would not be ok with this.
