I understand Publix's views on this, but what he did was selfless and kind. We don't see that often anymore and it should be honored, not punished.

Come on Publix. Do the right thing, This guy is a hero. I'd really hate to leave Publix for another store after being a customer for 45 years.

I can't believe anyone would get rid of this man or demote him. Shame on them for not recognizing how much integrity he has. They are the ones who should be fired and don't bother to hand me some sanctimonious platitudes.

Everyday,we're going backwards--People on their knees singing the National Anthem,High School Coaches letting kids take a knee for same.Now a Publix Mgr.chases down a crook.the crook took a purse.There used to be a time,that would be expected of a MAN,if he witnessed a crime.Hey,here's another,all the adults are going out trick or treating.Hey,we're going to hell

Shame on you Publix, sometimes you need to forget policy, most normal employees would do the same thing. Just saw this on the news, it did not make you, (Publix) look good, makes you look like a bully, reinstate this person, do the right thing, Don't make me go to Wal-Mart.

As a Florida resident living here over 30 years and shopping with Publix I want to see this resolved and corrected . Kudos and what a hero ! Deserves a raise !
