Venice FL Publix Manager Reinstatement

Public can be sure to loose me as a customer if they don't reinstate this hero in his job! That poor woman would have never seen her money again!!

The executives at Publix should be ashamed of themselves...... James went above and beyond the Call of Duty and in my book He's classified as a hero! That poor lady was helpless and defenseless and James didnt hesitate to help her! The sad part about it is that if it were ever to happen again people would be less likely to help for gear of being demoted! Maybe it's time for corporate to reevaluate their procedures!

What would George Jenkins do???? He dure would not do what yall did. I worked for Publix for 7 years, and I've seen things I disagreed with all the time, but this issue beats them all. Give the mgr back his position. I will shop elsewhere snd I dpend tons of money at Publix.

We need more employees like this

In this day and age people should be commented for doing the right thing. I can understand why Publix may feel the way they do. But sometimes you don't think, you go into action. I would hope that Publix would reconsider this employee punishment and give him a second chance. This comes from a public shopper. Best regards, Judy & John Ayers

Don't look to Publix to ever be a moral compass.

When did Americans become such a bunch of namby pambies? I applaud this manager's courage and think he should not be punished for doing the right thing.

I grew up with Publix. I remember when they were not open on Sunday because it was the Sabbath. I also know they probably turned over in their graves when Publix opened its first liquor store. They are probably urning over again because their employee was fired for doing the godly thing and putting himself in danger by chasing this thug that stole an elderly/sickly woman's purse. Shame on you!! This Manager should be praised for his bravery, not fired like some low life that embezzled millions from the company!

I shop at Publix almost daily and am disappointed that this manager is being disciplined for going above and beyond to help a customer. Have a heart and worry less about the financial bottom line please.

You should let mangers carry concealed and all this stuff would end really quick. Punish a mgr for helping someone out who was being robbed. Shame on y'all.

If they punish the manager everyone needs to boycott publix there is plenty of other places to shop plus Publix has gotten very greedy over the years.

I think he should have employee of the month

James does not deserve the punishment that he received!!! I have met him personally many times and know that he is a fantastic person and manager!!

I'm a long time publix shopper and have 3 family members employed at local stores. This is dumb, we need more modern day heros like this.

Rules were made to be broken! Use common sense please.

You don't deserve to lose your job for doing the right thing

Give him a pat on the back and a raise. He deserves it. It could have been your mother that had her purse snatched
