Really Publix? Just worried about lawsuits if your employee gets hurt in the chase. I hope this customer sues Publix.

This is absurd.....he manager should be given a commendation, not demoted and financially reprimanded for being a good citizen. I like shopping at Publix but you all should be ashamed.

Company property is a "write-off" If personal property is stolen Publix should stay out of "personal property policies" unless they will reimburse the customer

Please reconsider and make an exception for this employee. Doing the right thing as a human being should not result in this kind of punishment. I can understand the reason for your corporate policies but as a long time customer ( native Floridian) I also know that the founder of Publix understood compassion and right from wrong.

This worker should be commended for his help in catching this thief, not be demoted and lose a huge portion of his salary. Shame on you Publix. As a customer of your store , I no longer feel that I would be safe shopping there.
