In this era of blaming others and a general lack of responsibility, you apparently have an employee who believes his community should be safe while shopping in your stores. His punishment for breaking one of your policies appears to not match his behavior. Surely if those in corporate could put their heads together they could put together a punishment less harsh and equally appropriate.

333 signatures and building! Anyone who has lost a wallet or purse knows the aggravation. To have it stolen - even worse. I love Publix but also LOVE people that Do Right when all around we see evidence of people Not! I hope Publix will reconsider their valued Manager & valued Customer that called out in her time of need! It was a very good story until this last Publix decision to punish this Manager. I hope I soon read......"the rest of the story!" PUBLIX DO THE RIGHT THING - REINSTATE & THANK A VALUED EMPLOYEE!

I love in MI now and constantly brag about what a great company Publix is. This is Not a good example of how a great company treats their employees who go above and beyond!

James is an awesome guy and I feel that he did the right thing. Publix is expected o go '' above and beyond" which is exactly what James did. I dont feel that he should receive any penalty.

Co. Policy works when it's the company being robbed.....when it's a customer, that's when you need to show you would go above and beyond....exactly what your manager did! His pic as a hero on that board at the front of store and all pay and stats back to before! Nothing less will look good for you!

This manager was simply providing the outstanding customer service for which Publix is known. Please reconsider the consequence and stand behind your employee for doing what was morally right.
