In a society of such immorality, You Publix have a very good and loyal employee who stood up against evil and did the right thing and you punish him. So I ask you is the Publix Corporation a moral and ethical business, or are they just about the bottom line and in it for themselves?

Long time Publix shopper and supporter, shake your collective heads and think. Is this the publicity you want? Sure in hindsight he problem should not have persued the purse snatcher, but he did.

Pease reinstate. I understand that there are rules, but each case should be looked at separately. Maybe the rule needs adjusting. I believe that while this manager "broke the rule", he still did the right thing morally.

We love shopping at Publix when ever we stay in Fl. IT is a very customer friendly store. PLEASE reconsider the punishment for this employee. He did a very brave and wonderful thing, he was helping a human being. . Thank you.

This is completely unacceptable. Reinstate this man, or lose my business. I don't care what your written policy says, I know for a fact that several store managers have the expectation that you chase these people down. I'd be more than happy to go on record and provide the names and locations of those store managers to the news and facebook as well.

In a time when the news is chock full of bad news a feel good story is like a breath of fresh air. But Publix HQ has soured the story with "policy"! This Manager is a hero and should be treated as such!
