With all the crap that is going on in this world we have someone that does an awesome thing and now is having something he has worked so hard to achieve torn away from him. Now he has to struggle to make ends meet and or possibly find another job. Reprimand the guy and give him a warning just to save face, and then take him behind closed doors and say thanks for helping someone. This needs to be changed!!

Yes it is company policy but, the demotion of a devoted manager was overkill! If an example needed to be made of him a simple suspension should have been enough.
Well I can say I will take my buisness elseware.

I worked for Publix went George Jenkins was running the company. I knew he care for people. He send my husband and I a sliver plater when we go married. He would be proud of that manger for taking care of that person. Mr Jenkins might had gave him a bonus.

Give this man his job back, look me up I live in Venice and have grown up on Publix Subs my entire life here in Florida. I will refuse to shop at Publix until this Hero is given his title back. I will urge my MANY friends to shop elsewhere, also. Good day.

Publix I always shop at your stores because of your motto. Your employees do go above and beyond to help. This manager went even more so and you are punishing him. We live in a world of selfishness and greed. This man did something no one else did. You should be proud that he stepped up to help someone when no other person did. Those are the kind of people you should want working for you.
