I have been apart of Van Der Stel Sports club since I was very young.
From Gymnastics
Judo
Football.
Even my brother did home schooling here.
It would be a very sad day not only for me but the whole community of stellenbosch & members of the club to see it all gone.
Do not let this big part of Stellenbosch's sports history come to an end.

I've been playing blind cricket at VDS from 2000 - 2007. Since 2019 blind cricket has returned to these grounds. Where will we go if there is no access???

The municipal sports grounds belong to all the people of the Stellenbosch community , and should remain available to ALL the town's different sport disciplines.
The interests of the community should be safeguarded by the municipality at all cost, and no aspect of it should be for sale , EVER. The municipality's apparent cynical disregard of the interests of the people who live here, and pay the taxes, is extremely disconcerting.
