Over here priced. Ive heard from a couple of people who got food poisoning. There is no variety with the food.

I have never had anything from the cafeteria, what I heard is more than enough; over priced, undercooked, unorganised, etc. Not only it's not budget-friednly for students, but also for faculty and staff. This is pure profit making and it's not right.

My complaints are mostly about things other than the quality of the food. I actually favor the quality of their food far and above what we had before. Also, they are much more consistent about keeping the salad bar operating (though the "canned" part, as someone pointed out, is a problem). If you recall, Bateel ran out of food very early every single day. As an LAS faculty member who often has to teach, meet with students, have meetings, etc., through the typical lunch hours, having food available throughout the day is important. So why am I signing this petition? Three reasons: 1) They are overpriced without question; 2) I was led to believe at the beginning of their stint that they would have a full meal available until 5 PM; then it was 4:30; then 3:30; then 3:00; then 2:30--every day it was different with no warning from anyone; and, 3) A minor complaint compared to the first two, but in a country that has few trees, why are they giving us paper bags and ridiculously small ones at that? Either go all the way and give us paper bags that can contain our food and drinks properly, or go with multiple plastic bags, or cloth bags that we bring back--something. In short, they desperately need to improve their service and pricing. My grade? 72/C, three points away from a D. Ask my students--not a good place to be.

Inconsistent service, issues with food, overpriced items, meal pricing requires me to buy more than what I need. I do my best to find other places to eat when this shouldn't be the case.

Poor quality food that is often cold, overcooked or too salty. The sandwiches hardly have any filling - the servers have probably been trained to put in as little as possible. The pricing matrix forces you to buy more than you need.

Overpriced and very low quality food. Salads are quite bad in variety and quality. Most cooked food is not appetizing. Fish is undercooked, meat is un-chewable and chicken is stringy.

The food is of poor quality and too high of price. Perhaps, the problem is that no one informed Butterfly of VCUQ's expectations of quality and selection? If it is not possible to change vendors, then it would make sense to have a meeting with Butterfly to state our expectations and discuss how they can be met.

Pricing is all over the place. The mashed potatoes are made from powder and taste terrible. On a positive note I have lost 1.5 kilos from not eating lunch anymore!
