Virginia Commonwealth University has joined an initiative of over 600 colleges and universities nation wide to reduce their environmental impact. VCU has declared their plan to include becoming climate-neutral by the year 2050. However, all VCU collegiate apparel is not part of that plan. By joining this petition, the University will see how many students want to have Eco friendly apparel available. For more information on VCU's commitment to sustainability go to www.vcugoesgreen.vcu.edu.
I really thought this might just float around the internet for a week or two but goodness the momentum right now is actually starting to feel unavoidable. It is wild to think that people are actually paying attention to these shirts and their impact on the planet when there is so much else going on in the world right now.

it makes literally no sense to talk about being green when our campus gear is made in sweatshops using awful materials. fix it.
