As a U of H alumni I am distressed at the university’s reason for not renewing a professor’s teaching. I join others in asking for his contract’s renewal.

A professor who realizes how economics is supposed to work, we need him in a classroom teaching. I love the fact that him presenting students the info is challenging other professors.

disappointing- declining "Dr. Ross" is a declining UH economics department. as a graduate from UH Econ and former student of Dr. Ross, this is very disappointing.

The firing of Dr vanWassenhove is a true shame as he is one of the finest professors in the department. The fact that his firing is connected to ideological differences is even more shameful. It is important to have tolerance for heterodox views as no one school of thought has all the answers. The economics program will be diminished to the extent it excludes Austrian and free market voices.

As a city council woman, and business owner, I cannot overstate how important comprhension of Austrian Economics is in both public and private leadership. I hope that the university will consider the benefits and importance of a diverse and thorough curriculum.
