Fellow tradesman and women,
Enough is enough and something needs to be done now.
Ever thought how you would cope if your tools were stolen, how would you work, provide for your family etc.
If you’re tools have been stolen you’ll know how devastating it is, how costly they are to replace and the impact it has on your life.
I am starting this petition to call for tougher sentencing and measures that can reduce our tradesman having livelihoods taken away from them.
We spend years and thousands of pounds putting our tool kits together to go out do an honest day’s work and put food on our families tables and a roof over their heads.
For someone to take all that away in an instance without any fear of repercussions or consequences is not good enough.
That said we can do a great deal in the war on tool theft. After all these tools are stolen to be sold. I urge you not to buy any tools that are offered to you if you do not know for sure they are legal and that persons to sell. We all love a bargain every now and then but remember one day that could be your tools that someone is buying of that bloke down the pub for nowhere near what you paid for them or what they are worth to you.
Please sign this petition as i am now striving to take this all the way to eradicate the devastation that tool theft is causing to our industry, it’s trafesman and their families.
This petition will be passed to our justice secretary David gauke and I am confident that if we all club together and make our voices heard we will start seeing some action

We need to stand together against this epidemic to have any chance of getting our Government to act.
I wouldn’t only lose my tools of my van got broken into. I would lose everything!
The theft of a man's tools should carry mandatory jail time.

It would be a little helpful if the Police were remotely interested in investigating theft of tools from vans. I now have to bring my valuable tools bin from my van every night after loosing £1k of tools from my van. Thieves know the police can't be bothered to investigate tool theft which it why it is on the rise.
