Would be sad to see such a successful school being discontinued.

Mandarin is the worlds most commonly spoken language, immersing kids in it is a great way to improve their job prospects and make them better able to appreciate a multicultural world.

This sounds like a fantastic opportunity for our kids in the future and I would love to see it still be available when they reach school age!

A mandarin immersion program is a fantastic opportunity for students and should be continued. I participated in a Spanish immersion program growing up and it has greatly enhanced my life.

Please keep this program. Awareness of other languages and perspectives on the world are so important right now.

My coworker's daughter is in this program, and I know that she absolutely loves it. There's nothing else like this in Wisconsin - this can't be something that is relegated, given how small the world is becoming. I know at least one student (though definitely NOT the only one) who would be crushed to see this go!

A program like this can only provide benefit for local students as they are able to immerse themselves in a language and culture different from their own. The ability to understand and appreciate other perspectives will be an invaluable skill that these students will be able to hold onto for the rest of their lives.

With China quickly growing as a world power and becoming one of the dominant forces in business. I think it's important that we open the opportunity for students immerse themselves in the chinese culture.

Keeping diversity in our neighborhood is very important. Supporting the only Chinese immersion in our area is necessary to keep us in pace with the world. As Chinese, I see children in this school learning Chinese language and culture excellently. They learn things much more efficiently than adults.

Promoting intercultural communication in today's youth is so important, and VAIS fills that need. I support renewing this charter.

This type of program is of immense value to students, beginning immediately and extending well into their adult lives, and should be preserved.

Without learning a foreign language, it's difficult for one to truly understand how big and diverse the world is. Appreciate it, and thrive in it.
