Trolleys should not leave the parking areas

Stop the theft

Stealing of trolleys is a theft and should be stopped by retailers.

Tired of filthy trolleys and the apparent apathy by trolley owners to secure them and prevent their use and loss that we the consumer ultimately pay dearly for.

Anti theft devices on trolleys are common place in many other countries and we need to keep trolleys off our streets. Big retailers need to be held accountable for every trolley that ends up in a greenbelt for enabling the dumping to take place. Enough is enough.

Be the solution, stop the pollution!!!

Retail stores need to do something about this. The amount of vagrants walking around with trolleys is ridiculous.

I live close to the Super Spar and the amount of trolleys outside the car park is astounding !!

Stolen trolleys spread disease by means of the muck they are contaminated with and then simply put back into circulation. Increases the mobility of vagrants and allows them to transport more litter into our green belts. Retailers prosecute people for shoplifting, so why not for trolley theft, especially when a trolley is worth way more than the petty amount of goods taken by general shoplifters.

There needs to be much better control of trolleys at supermarkets. It is far too easy for vagrants to steal them. The cost of losing trolleys must be astonomical, but no doubt aborbed by the consumer with increased prices. Unacceptable

Hundreds of trolleys stolen add to the cost of food . Theft is theft under any guise

If the Retailers would take ownership of their trolleys and dollies, that would solve many problems. For one the Vagrants would have nothing to store their goods in or hide their goods.

Retailers must take responsibility for their trolleys. They turn a blind eye to the theft of thousands of rands worth of trolleys daily, but then prosecute shoplifters for far less! Stop enabling crime and the deterioration of our green areas by effectively sponsoring these criminals.
