We the undersigned are Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) students at UW-La Crosse request that the University stop the unfair charging of clinical experience fees.  Our final year of study takes place at a clinical site, which is contracted by UW-La Crosse.  As part of that contract UW-La Crosse pays the clinical site a fee approximately equal to 80% of the tuition we pay to the University.  Instead of using our tuition dollars to pay all of this fee, UW-La Crosses charges us a clinical experience fee.  The clinical experience fee is unfair because UW-La Crosse incurs virtually no expense for our education during our clinical year.   Since UW-La Crosse is not providing any educational service for us during this year, they should not be allowed to keep our tuition dollars to spend as they wish.  We respectfully request that the charging of these fees be discontinued beginning in the current academic year.
