I oppose elective abortions at University of Vermont Medical Center.

Oppose abortion being done at UVMMC! Appalled that this is happening here. Will seek medical care elsewhere.

1st they kill the unborn, next the handicap, then the elderly then....whose next?

I feel the hospital should focus on keeping hearts beating; not intentionally stopping them for convenience. As a nurse who cared for NICU babies, I can tell you how precious they are at the youngest gestational age. I was present for a preterm 14 week old delivery & I can assure you- they are little humans, not some alien looking thing from text books. When you see a precious baby die, it changes you to understand the fragility and amazement of life. Abortion is being used as an after-thought, which is unacceptable to a marginalized being who cannot speak for themselves. Science is advancing and restrictions are protection for the marginalized.

Every life is precious, adoption is the best option.

Please, UVMMC is a wonderful and caring hospital, please save babies not kill them. Abortion causes long term emotional damage that can ruin lives. Please don’t get into the elective Abortion business.

Not enough words to express my disgust and disappointment with this decision. They’re supposed to be saving lives.

I am shocked by this plan by UMVMC to become an abortion center. This must not be allowed.

How can anyone trust UVM after this decision to take a life? Can expectant mothers trust UVM for care of their unborn if UVM also kills the unborn? Is UVM "showing its true colors" when they make the decision to kill those who are in their care?

Can't help make one not fear that the lives of all have a lesser value in the eyes of those UVM Medical Center.

As a teenager, I saw a film titled "The Silent Scream" about how an unborn, developing fetus suffers at the hands of abortionists. It made a lasting impression!!

How sad a hospital that was created to save lives now deems it okay to butcher innocent unborn babies.

After having my high-risk pregnancy care and delivery of my beautiful daughter at the UVM MFM, I am grieved to hear of this decision by the Board of Trustees of UVM MC to provide elective abortions. In good conscience, I will not find my medical care in any form through UVM until this decision has been reversed. Shame on UVM MC for transitioning from saving to killing.

For whose benefit did the VMCBT make their decision? Certainly not for the children whose lives will be cut short - literally - nor for the involved families who must endure the guilt and anguish that surely follows such barbaric procedures, the impact of which is poorly studied or understood. Please do the right thing and reverse your decision!

I'm appalled that pro-legal abortion advocacy at the highest levels of UVM Medical Center leadership has hijacked the historic life-saving mission of the hospital where I was born.
