I oppose elective abortions at University of Vermont Medical Center.

Due to distance and timing, for my 4th child I felt I had no choice but to use an OBGYN who was also the local abortionist. I thought he was a professional, right? I should have chosen a home birth. Once he learned I was pro-life he turned very mean towards me. He did his job at delivery but not until my husband had to go to the cafeteria and tell him he was needed upstairs NOW. Because of the UVM board's decision, I will now have to ask every doctor I see "do you participate in abortions?" Why? I never ever want to be put in the position of having to make such a choice again, to use a doctor/nurse ... for anything ... who participates in abortions. Until now I did not have to ask. I do not care if my doctors are pro-choice or not but if they participate in abortions it changes them. So, I will gladly stand outside the UVM hospital doors with a sign making SURE that every patient that goes in that door knows to ask their doctors/nurses if they participate in abortions.

I find it disgusting and apalling that the hospital would perform abortions when their mission should be protecting and preserving lives rather than taking them.

If a pregnant woman is murdered the accused killer is likely charged with two counts of murder, one for the mother and one for the unborn child. Should UVMC be treated any differently?

Selective abortion is murder and not considered family planning.

This is a human rights issue. We all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We cannot arbitrarily take the life of an innocent human being. Abortion is not "health care."

Abortion of any kind is murder. How can any health facility condone such a practice. I am totally baffled. We save animals and birds and kill our precious babies. No wonder Vermont lacks a sufficient workforce.

I am a former hospital administrator and never would have permitted this. Please reverse your decision.

Doctors are suppose do everything they can to save lives, not kill them. Please don’t ask them to go against the very nature of what it means to be a doctor!

If we allow would be mothers to deliberately destroy their innocent children under the guise of a life saving institution we will allow more violence to those of us who are already born.
