I oppose the decision of the University of Vermont Medical Center Board of Trustees to re-define “family planning” services to include elective abortions. I am shocked that the same community hospital that so many rely on for life-saving treatment will now engage in the deliberate destruction of innocent, unborn human beings.
The goodwill generated by the University of Vermont Children's Hospital in saving the lives of some of the smallest among us cannot overcome the horror experienced by knowledge of the barbaric means now being employed to end the lives of other pre-born babies, even in the latest stages of pregnancy.
I ask the UVMMC Board of Trustees to reverse their decision on abortion policy and to rebuild community trust in the hospital statement of values to “respect the dignity of all individuals.”

It appalls me that the same hospital that delivered my beautiful 4 month old baby now wants to take part in aborting pre-born babies. If UVM does indeed take part in abortion, I will cease using their services.
The role of our medical professionals has always been to help save lives and not take them. The decision to allow elective abortions is a grave mistake and is an offense against the hospitals mission, the doctors and staff, and the dignity of the human person.
How did this ever happen at this hospital that fought to save my life when I was battling pancreatic cancer surgery for 4 months. You must reverse this very decision that was made without staff knowing about it.
I am disappointed in the leaders at UVM MC. Strange that an institution that works so hard to save the lives of pre-term babies in their NICU will then consider the lives of other babies meaningless. How do they reconcile that??
I am in the process of moving back to Vermont.Reason is family and better medical system, the care for life. If you do abortions at UVM Medical Center, then I don't want to contribute to it by paying for ANY services provided. I will go elsewhere for medical needs.
Shocking and despicable that UVMMC doctors are becoming murderers in lab coats, making a mockery of their oath, and the tremendous life-saving work done by some of their colleagues.
What is the matter with our legislature. What is wrong with you people. This law would allow abortion up until the last month/last day of a pregnancy. Are you all crazy. Think is this right. This is a baby and you all know it. I can't believe this will be allowed. Please, Please, Please do what is right. and Vote this down. It is murder. don't allow stupid political reasons convince you to allow murder. We are not a third world country, and we are not living in the stone ages. This is about respecting life. At 8 or 9 months of a pregnancy, you know for sure, that baby would live outside the womb. Allow them to live, be adopted, whatever, but allow them to live, if you don't you are a murderer. You'll have to live with yourself being a murderer. That is how far this has gone. VOTE NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

The very hospital my husband was born in (Mary Fletcher Hospital). It was know for years as a College Research Hospital, for the purpose for findings new and innovative ways to heal the sick. NOW, this same hospital wants to kill to make more money. SHAME ON YOU !
