We live in the village and have to take my children to other villages where they have play areas which is a pain to be honest. Also having a play area in the village would help to be more involved in our community.

A real shame for the village!! With no footpaths to our neighbouring villages our children have no area to play safely!! I hope they reconsider !!!!!

About time someone spoke out, I've got children in the village and there's nowhere for them. It seem every idea is met with a brick wall!!!

A playground offers physical, social and physiological benefits to those who use it and whilst there are playgrounds outside of the village this means that people need to travel which is environmentally detrimental to the area. A playground would offer the village a much needed central hub to Utkinton and be a real benefit to the village.

I live in Utkinton, and it is a real shame that our children have no where to play!!!

Most local villages have playgrounds. It's such a shame that The children of Utkinton are being denied the chance to play outside.

I don't know why I'm surprised that I have better Christian values than the CofE. It shouldn't ever be the case. The Diocese need to speak to God and get some help because they're clearly not acting to the benefit of the community, they're simply running a business.

Hi, We moved to the village a year ago and we think the village should have a playground where all the children would be able to play.

This is outrageous! Why has this been rejected - this was only going to be benifical, I don't think a single resident would disagree with that! We need more facilities for our children in a society where too many children are over weight and do not get enough exercise this would have surely been a brilliant idea.

Children need out door space. For their growth wellbeing and health. You are forcing children to become withdrawn and not to have fun outdoors. With others

With decisions like this is it any wonder the Anglican church is becoming less and less relevant for young (and old) alike.

I support the much needed playground in Utkinton as I believe all children should have somewhere safe to play in their village.

We sent a letter to the Diocese in support of accepting the donated playground on offer from Bunbury. (I copied the school in.) Essentially, it is a real opportunity for the families of the school and the local community to enjoy a small playground on the school field.

Very sad and small minded to oppose such a valuable community asset

A play park is really not a big ask and essential for village life.

Chester Diocese should be ashamed, as should the four residents who object to children playing.
