KSL TV has recently reported that the Idaho Lottery Commission states Utah residents provide 19 per cent of ticket and game sales that amounts to 16.5 million dollars a year. It is past time to keep Utah's money here and have it work for our state.
I propose we adopt a Utah lottery law based on Idaho law 2005 Idaho Code - CHAPTER 74 — IDAHO STATE LOTTERY that would implement, define , create and control a Utah lottery. Implementing the Idaho code would give precedent to any challenges to the law when implemented in Utah.

Just me.. Michael Geraghty. I read a news report about how much money was leaving the state and thought it's way past time that the lottery be here in Utah and that I shouldn't have to drive 200 miles round trip from Salt Lake City to participate. With 19 per cent of money coming from Utah residents who make the same trip as I, it is obvious to me that Utah's current laws concerning the lottery are not what the people want.
