There's no way, even if most of the ice melts today, that there won't be black ice in the morning. That's even more dangerous. Delay opening, at the minimum.

Close campus untill roads return to normal operations. Don't risk the lives of students and staff.

Not risking my life or an accident over an exam. My instructor said a makeup is NOT an option.

It is clear that re-scheduling UTA's final exams on Monday outweighs the safety of their students.

TxDOT announced last night that some highways will be shut down until they have evaluated and cleared the passages from ice, how does UTA expect for commuting students that rely on these highways to get to school? UTA should remain closed until the highways are safe and the roads, sidewalks, and parking lots have been sanded at UTA.

This school being opened thing is a bunch of crap. I commute MWF to UTA from Dallas county. To see that my safety and my fellow students is no concern to UTA sickens me. I'm so upset. I've emailed the news, been on facebook, here and I've emailed my professor as well. If there are no make ups allowed, I'm dropping my winter class and finding another school that has my major. I'm not going to give any money or anymore time to a school that doesn't care about those that attend or work there.

I am a disabled student who commutes to UTA from Fort Worth, and who simply cannot drive to or on campus in this ice, which will only be worse tomorrow given the melting/refreezing. Black ice is extremely dangerous, and I'm surprised at UTA's decision to disregard the health/safety of its students in the name of convenience. Please reconsider opening Monday, Dec. 9.

Too dangerous, we cannot expect commuters to drive through the ice that will refreeze on the 8th.

I live 45 mins away and I think it's crazy for them to make people drive on the roads, and walk on the sheet of ice covering the campus.

I live 20 minutes away from work and it took about an hour and a half to get there (just due to conditions, not traffic). For students who have 8am finals and commute, they will have to leave very early, in morning traffic AND bad road conditions.

Most other schools around DFW are closed. I am not sure as to why UTA wants to have classes. It's absurd I have to risk my life for a final that can be cancelled or rescheduled. I hope they decide to close for the saftey of the students.

It's not fair that most schools and businesses will remain closed tomorrow but UTA isn't following suite.
