This petition is to request the government's revision of the US-VISIT program, which currently is unfair to those people who are seeking asylum in the United States and who do not bring proper documentation with them due to their quick flight from their countries. Unfortunately, when these people fail to provide proper documentation they are sent back to their countries where their lives are in jeopardy.
We ask that the government revise their entrance policy with regards to refugees who are escaping persecution from their government.
Please support this petition on behalf of all those refugees who cannot advocate for themselves.
The stories shared in the comments illustrate a profound struggle that many refugees face when arriving at our borders without documentation. I am spending my time gathering these accounts to ensure that the human reality of this policy reaches those with the power to change it.

Reaching this level of engagement confirms that people truly understand the urgency of protecting those fleeing persecution. The momentum behind our message suggests that a meaningful conversation about these policies is finally taking hold.
