Being a green community not only shows social responsibility, it also sets a good precedent for the upcoming change in administration. We've banned smoking, in an effort to protect the well-being of our students, faculty, and staff. Why not protect all areas of our campus and our resources for future generations?

I like eagles and they shouldn't build where they nest.

I was just talking about how I hardly recognize the campus anymore. I graduated in 88 and it stuns me to see all the natural beauty being gobbled for ball fields and parking lots.. yuck.

I have walked the trails and have found this area to be special. I hope it can be preserved.

The thought of building on such a beautiful and ecologically diverse plot of land is absolutely despicable.

I am an alum. One of the best things about UWF - the source of some of my fondest memories - is the sanctuary. It helps define UWF.

As I was browsing schools to attend, you won me over by having the campus surrounded by trails, full of preservation. You made an effort to make the school a part of the local foliage. I love this areas mix of seashores and forestry. I'm also a mountain biker, we need these trails to enjoy our sport. I know there are runners who use these trails just as us riders do. In a world full of commercializations and bigger cities and condos, please keep us small, beautiful, and green.

As a UWF alumnus, I am proud of this group for sticking up for the campus I attended - one that put the surrounding environment and the relationships of the student body ahead of expansion and revenue.

'88 Alumni. My family and I have enjoyed the nature trails for many years and believe development in that area would be a disservice to students, faculty, and the community, not to mention the plants and wildlife.

Alumni. I'm against making UWF like every other university in the United States: big, over-bearing, unproductive and a harvest system for football players .... that end-up uneducated and lack basic life principles. Poor representatives of my alma mater.

One reason my daughter chose UWF was for its beautiful natural setting. Please keep UWF unique!
