Petition To Protect The Use Deer Dogs On Public Land

Ive just got a pup to train on deer indication. If it becomes banned to use her on public land then ill just have a dog with no purpose at home.

Nothing wrong with a man and his dog going out to get a feed for his family. So long as the dog has had the right training.

We should have the right to use deer indicating dogs as long as they are trained in the kiwi invasion course 1. It helps the hunter find deer. The deer are a noxious pest at the end of the day. 2. Once the deer has been shot the dogs help find it. Especially if it is wounded the hunter can humanely dispatch the deer. 3.Most Hunters I know hunt to put food on the table for there family using deer dogs helps increase there chances to do so. 4.The land D.O.C cares for is public land they are caretakers working for the public of NZ and we as tax paying citizens have the right to have our say and use deer dogs on our land.

DOC kill more Kiwi's than deer dogs do - with 1080 - they need to worry about that first!

It reduces the loss of wounded animals in the dense bush, and is a more ethical approach to hunting in NZ.

1080 poison over so much of our forests...my deer dog is becoming redundant....10,000 dislikes to DoC.

I dont have a deer dog yet but when i do i want to be able to access land that i can still hunt with my dog

Restricting hunter's including hunters with indicating dog's is hypocritical especially with the amount of poison DOC throw around.

My dog has made the difference of meat on the table more often than not..D O C should just snap out of there big brother attitude. 1080 alone shows how stupid they are.

My dog is well trained and keen. I see no reason why she should not be able to hunt with me on public land.

DOC we are keeping deer numbers to a good level. Let us use our dogs for what they are bred to do to help us.
