Petition To Protect The Use Deer Dogs On Public Land

To hunt on my own in some of these remote places is dangerous, it is important that I have my dog as a companion in these place's.

i think its bloody ludacris to ban deer dogs!

I believe we should have the right that we have had since the inseption of hunting in NZ our dogs are our companions and partners in the hunt

I live at the bottom of the kaimais. Trying to find somewhere to take my dog for a hunt is becoming near impossible.

Been wanting this for along time.

There are plenty of places in the Nelson area that I'd love to take my dog, but it's all locked up.

Let u use dogs . Why make us kiwi proof our dogs and not let us use them. In the Bush??????

Pretty one eye if pig dogs are allowed in but not deer dogs. Surely this can be changed. Im all for it..

My dog is my best hunting buddy and helps me catch more deer than if I hunted alone. She is avian trained.

Using indicator dogs helps to make cleaner more humane kills and also, if there is a wounded animal, can track so animal can be put out of any suffering.

Allow deer dogs on public lands

It is our right to use deer dogs on our public land. Deer dogs are used in safe controlled manors in virtue of the way they hunt with their handler.

Having an indicator dog should make DOC happy. With one you're not going to walk past many deer. Effect. More deer being shot therefore numbers of deer drop. Effect. Less need for 1080. Win win all round.
