I do not support the act of removing art from our public spaces. Galway doesn't do monochrome!

Art in all its forms should be encouraged.

Why ger rid of something so beautiful and represents our lovely city ,what needs to be gotten rid of are the horrible weeds and briars on the roundabouts as we come into our city .

This is a fabulous painting that is iconic at this stage, it really compliments this part of the town and would be a huge shame to remove it

I am a frequent visitor to Galway and I feel that this mural is part of Galway and loved by many.

Take away the mural and expose an ugly piece of architecture.

You can't hope to be a city of culture if you can't cope with murals. They will always be more visually attractive than ghastly office blocks that get sanctioned no matter how unimaginative and depressing they are. Enlightened cities actively seek and encourage street art on buildings.

This is a bright, smart piece of art. The owners of the building should be commended rather than punished.

It's to beautiful to be painted over. It's not doing anyone any harm. Surely there are more important things to be doing. Please leave it alone.

It is iconic and like the photos on the walls of buildings at the docks, it is part of the arty side of Galway. We are known as city of artists and trade on that. Leave the mural as it is. It is the colour of the sea. The images relate to Galway and her history. Nothing will be as nice its place.

This has to be opposed and stopped. Ridiculous decision.
