I live in the Blumels estate & walk the pond daily. I appreciate that the railway line should be protected from overhanging branches, rooting trees & inevitable leaves on the line causing disruption to rail travellers. However, the felling of the trees along this patch of line seems to me to be very spontaneous & without order. There are trees left very sporadically close to the line, yet young trees further away have been chopped. I'd be interested to know why this is? I would also like to know what investigations & considerations were taken in this planning as to the effect that some of this unnecessary felling is going to have on the surrounding wildlife & continuing sustainability of the area. I am sure that a company as large as Network Rail have a sustainability policy in this day & age?

I know thay have to keep leaves and thing of the line,but to deverstate every tree ,bushs, no enveiroment left for wild life,incresse in noise levels,and the astetices of it,its an eye sore,its just so wrong on so many levels

Fully support, Network Rail cannot be allowed to continue with this, certainly not the the distance from the tracks show and certainly MUST consult with local residents. The trees offer SOME degree of noise abatement too.

Trees are not only beautiful to look at they are homes for thousands of birds and wildlife. They absorb all pollution, they are great noise reducing barriers. When properties are built planning are very keen to enhance the developments with trees and hedges to soften the enviroment........so how come Network rail destroy beauty to BARK ?
