As a resident in The Coventry for over 20 years (and a PTC resident of over 25 years) this has been an issue for our neighborhood as well, and has dramatically worsened in the past 5 or so years. I understand that interface with GA Power will be crucial to this endeavor as this isn’t a “City only” initiative, but your thoughtful consideration would be very much appreciated. The option of installing generators for back up power is becoming more of a need and is sadly out of reach of most residents.

Since January 1, 2025, our power has gone out at least 5 times for multiple hours at a time. This is unacceptable.

I am signing this petition because I live in Parkgate and have had multiple equipment repairs and replacements due to electrical issues from storms. Our street was the first phase of Kedron. Our homes were built in 1991 and our backyard neighbors are Aberdeen subdivision. Our lines and transformers are old and in need of repairs and upgrades please!

We live on Parkgate Lane and have had at least outages this year. It affects electronics and is very frustrating! Do something to secure the lines.

We are tired of the constant power outages from GA Power. Above ground lines on Flat Creek always have trees falling on them. Please get the lines buried!

Please do something about these outages. We’ve lost thousands of dollars in groceries in the last 2 years alone

This has become a very common thing. We were without power for 22 hours last year. The lines need to be buried or the trees along above ground need to be cut down.

We in the Pinegate neighborhood do ask the Mayor and Council to reach out to Georgia power to address this problem. Of continued power outages due to overhead lines.

Three lengthy power outages ALL caused by trees coming down into power lines that could be placed underground in the existing right of way. Georgia Power needs to step and Peachtree City needs to get onboard with this.

Power lost numerous times over last several months. Unable to use our CPAPs that are medically required. Ridiculous!
