Urgent Petition to Address Road Safety Concerns and Reckless Driving by DART And BODA in Tanzania

Why r bodaz allowed to ride in bus kasi roads and this bus casi in morogoro road should be closed as the road is too narrow pedestrians r unable too pass drivers of bus kasi drive rough too

The name of the BRT in Kiswahili “Mwendokasi” should be rebranded. The marketing has all gone wrong. I believe this has given the bus drivers a right to believe that they are above the law when it comes on the road rules and there is no slowing down for them to check for any hazards because they are the literally “Mwendo wa Kasi”. Secondly after having heard of so many deaths from Fire junction to Samora avenue, there has not been accountability on the side of the driver or UDART. Hence they are still unsafe and reckless when driving on these lanes. Introduce traffic lights, make the drivers accountable it is a basic rule of driving to check a junction even if it’s your right of way!

Its more of public bulldozer than a public transport.

Please see this matter as urgent basis as it is going to be beneficial to all concerned using the road at large.

I am signing this petition to request the honourable president,mama samia suluhu hassan to look into this matter for the well being of all the pedestrians and other road users,i expect to see stricter actions and measures taken to ensure the safety of all road users.

Stop DART and BODA killing inocent people

BODAS ,BAJAJ NEED TO HAVE STRICT REGULATIONS AND CONTROL MOST OF THE ACCIDENTS are caused because of them

DART should have speed limit in Town as there is no specific road for them

BRT drivers and Boda boda drivers should be taken strict actions and the gvt should set strict laws and actions against rule breakers Mwendokasi junctions should have bumps amd speedbreakers on both mwendokasi road and public road

Educate them on road safety. The only viable solution.

We had an incident yesterday 29th March 2024 where brt bus just hit a boda boda which carrying a passenger ,boda guy died on spot the passenger was sent to hospital he was critical and ended up passing away with so many injuries

BRT driver should drive carefully no speeding, stop when needed

We need safety

BRT should have speed limit in town areas/ rush areas. This Rule should be followed!!! BRT drivers should be punished for their mistakes And they should be highly trained for their job( driving), hiring unskilled drivers causes this much problem!!.
