Urgent Call for a Complete Allen and Eglinton Traffic Study (no donations necessary)

It has been a horrible experience over the last 12 years. We have not been able to get home to 17 Glenarden Rd most weekdays. We have to park blocks away and get the car later or sit in the car and wait for over an hour just a block or two from our driveway. It is also unhealthy to have vehicle emissions for many hours day. I think the plan I saw would make it necessary for our disgusting gridlock to continue. Unfortunately Eglinton will not be able to handle the present plan to accommodate bikes, cars and parking! We have watched our small businesses fail over the last many years. The road rage is scary and pedestrians especially children are at high risk for injury. Emergency vehicles can not get in and out. When it snows and Glenarden loses one lane drivers are even more frustrated. I think the shortcuts to Allen need to be cut off and traffic needs to be back on Bathurst and Eglinton…… main streets!….not continuing to wreck our neighbourhood.

We need real and reliable data to make informed decisions.

Our Bussiness are affected by the crazy amount of traffic. If you guys don’t change your original plan, You’re going to force more people out of business isn’t enough how many business are closed on Eglington already

This is a major major car intersection for access to the Allen expressway. I’m sure the City traffic department will sacrifice traffic flow for the bicycle holy grail.

It is literally insane to build intensification at Allen and eg intersection without current traffic understanding! There is terrible congestion already even with the new lane opened. As well parking is essential to avoid hopelessly clogged side streets and to support a viable business district.

You are making the neighbourhood a ghetto for the people living there. It is impossible to get anywhere

This cannot happen! This will ruin Eglinton!!

It's time to listen to the people who will be irrevocably impacted. Gather the information crucial before making changes.

As someone who lives in the area and has experienced the insane traffic conditions of Eglington, I do not see how you can move forward with old data. Please make sure this is done right. It impacts too many people, and we are already having serious car accidents in the neighborhood because the traffic is just untenable and motorists are speeding through residential streets full of road rage and impatience. It has to get better - not worse.

bikes belong on smaller residential streets --and I am a serious biker. Keep cars on the larger roads (Eglinton ... Bathurst ... ) and out of our neighbourhoods

This is irresponsible planning that displays a lack of understanding of the needs of the residents.

This area is the worst-calculated, designed urban area for years. It is about time it should be fixed. Harrie, up it is 2023.

1 lane to go right left and straight will be a disaster.

How is it possible in the 21 century to build the major transportation routes in the city like Toronto without thorough studies, planning and consultation with communities these routs are going to impact?! These white cubes along Eglinton wasting so much space and money testify for this lack of accountability, taste and creativity (architectural, financial and social).

There is a need to use onsite personnel to monitor illegal turns from side streets entering to Eglinton W between Glen Cedar and Strathern
