Urgent Call for a Complete Allen and Eglinton Traffic Study (no donations necessary)

A comprehensive assessment must be conducted before the city makes a costly mistake. For those of us who live in the affected area and commute throughout it, we have seen and felt the negative impact on residential streets and along Eglinton when traffic on Eglinton doesn't move. The city's plan is not based on data, only the ideology of a few people who put beautification of Eglinton before safety and other important factors that make our city liveable and enjoyable. This is not just a local issue, the impact will be felt across the city and this has not been considered.

Decisions should be made only after proper data is hgatheted.

Access on and off the Allen is critical to the neighboring community. The artery is already clogged and needs a solid solution. Condo development plans at it's entrance and exit are ludicrous!

Please ensure there is an up to date study so that our neighbourhood can be safe and accessible.

More studies needs to be done.

Traffic in the Eglinton corridor is a disaster. If the current plans are carried out, congestion will worsen. Not everyone rides a bike or sits out at a patio drinking coffee, especially during the winter.

I live on Chiltern Hill. The traffic is terrible in our area and these changes will only make it worse!

The City planners call it a “Complete Street” project. More accurate to describe it as “Complete Chaos”. The City failed to acquire the additional land in its plan to widen the road to accommodate these new features. Instead of coming up with an adapted plan, they are incorrectly trying to cram everything into the existing roadway on Eglinton. This narrow single lane Eglinton will be dangerous for all users - pedestrians, cyclists and the 80-100K daily volume of vehicles that access Eglinton & Allen. And terrible CO2 pollution for everyone from idling vehicles stuck in long lineups of stalled traffic. Vision Zero Sense!

well recognized by everyone from resident to visitor to politician the total inadequacy of Eglinton traffic situation. We have been temporizing with crosstown construction for too long and now the plan is to rectify problems with antiquated solutions. Not acceptable- needs fresh look with independent eyes.
