I just keep shaking my head at the stupidity of city planners. Who were their teachers? The 4 way stop at 56th and Central was a Godsend in particular.

If you can obtain video of people dodging the traffic bumps, please do and share! Our representatives need to SEE what is going on and do something about it. School is heading back next week!

Please don't wait for a serious accident or death to occur before recognizing this terrible risk. Divert traffic to Keystone or Meridean, not to Central.

Keep the stop signs. Get rid of speed tables and put an end to the Red Line. The unintended consequences of this project will be huge, expensive, and will send your tax-paying base fleeing to the suburbs.

No question that the speed bumps have actually created an increased hazard, as cars have simply swerved around the installations, rather than go over them. To eliminate the stop signs, will only increase the hazards for cyclists and children walking to school, particularly in the Kessler to 54th street areas.

We live by SJOA and the speed table south of 44th and are deeply concerned about everyone’s safety!

The Red Line on College will essentially drive traffic onto other neighborhood streets as a substitute not just during construction but forever. Keep the 4 way stop signs. The Red Line should not be going up College -it should be going up Keystone.

We live on Central and one of these speed tables is directly in front of our house. Yesterday we watched as a driver swerved to miss the speed table and came dangerously close to a neighbor walking her dog causing her to cry out in fear. Our kids walk these sidewalks and ride their bikes up and down our street. This “solution” is coming to us from the same architects of the Red Line. So scary and unsafe for our children.

Ineffective speed bump at its best!!! I live st 5819 central and currently drinking coffee on my porch watching car after car go around the bump. Very poor effort to slow traffic!!!
