These intersections are dangerous enough WITH the 4-way stops, since many people seem to figure they're only a suggestion. Taking them away would be disastrous!

I have used this intersection regularly for the past 8 years. It was EXTREMELY dangerous prior to the installation of the current 4-way stop.

So many pedestrians, especially children walking too and from school on Central. Stop signs to slow down the speed of drivers is ESSENTIAL to keeping everyone else safe.

This is ridiculous! I live on Central and my kids go to school on Central. I say keep the stop signs AND add a few more. and fix the speed bumps. I hope they can quiet these down and make them permanent.

Safety first. Slowing and controlling traffic. 4 ways would seem to be effective. The tables need to run curb to curb. If the tables (bumps) were fixed they would not be noisy and would seem to be effective as well.

Have lived near the 56th and Central corner for 20 years. Before 4-way: accident after accident after accident! After 4-way: virtually none! Central will become a race track from one green light to next with the parking lane being used as a passing lane for impatient drivers...so unsafe for the schools along route and pedestrians. KEEP the 4-way stops!

Street design should be for the safety of the residents living in the neighborhood not for commuters.

before the 4 way stop signs at 58th and Central cars would accelerate from Kessler to 57th. Very dangerous for school children!

The current plan to manage traffic in these already congested school zones is very very poorly constructed. It will create a hazard around children (my children). Please reconsider and implement a full and viable plan--not this half baked band-aide.

The very first time I went over the speed tables, I saw someone zoom right around it.

Removal of the 4-way stop at 56th and 58th and Central creates an unsafe traffic environment for both vehicles and pedestrians.
