My son uses the fields on governors island and we really hope he can continue to use them as there aren’t many available fields.

ACTIVE OPEN SPACE (and direct access to this space) must be preserved in NYC. Temporary acquisition of this space for another land use other than ACTIVE OPEN SPACE is unacceptable.

There are other spaces and resources that will not detract from the existing challenges of raising children in NYC. Not only will this plan deny space on Randall's Island, but will put great pressure on the available parks and spaces throughout the rest of Manhattan. Please find them.

Having access to places like Randall's is critical to making NYC a viable place to raise children.

There are dozens of other places that are better options for placement of migrant shelters. Thinking about this from the migrants' perspective too.

Our children rely on this space - you will lose valuable New Yorkers if this horrible idea goes through

Our leaders need to lead with common sense. The Governor in Texas told the world we can not continue to absorb migrants and our Mayor welcomed them until we ran out of resources. How did Mayor Adams not see this coming?!!! A 5 yr old could have managed the city better. Wake up New York! Migrants are sleeping on the street and are hungry. This is not humane! Secure our borders!

He can solve the problem by declaring the city a non sanctuary city.

City kids need sports and acose that is safe to play. We must support important recreational space that keep kids out of trouble and fosters mental health for our youth.
