Preserve Randall's Island Fields 82-85 for NYC Children

This is an essential New York City resource. Randall's islands and these soccer fields are how you keep families living in New York instead of fleeing to the suburbs. Don't ruin this miraculous resource!

Please keep these fields for the youth in our community who need to have a place to run and feel free from the stresses in this world

Kids need a safe space. Their lives have been disrupted enough since 2020. Save our kids.

Green space for children's sports in NYC is rare and critical! Speaking as a parent and a certified soccer referee. These fields are CONSTANTLY in use!

There are few outdoor spaces and soccer fields for youth sports in NYC. Fields 82 -85 on Randall's Island are necessary for youth athletic programs. My child's soccer team plays on these fields. Please do not take these fields away. There are other locations to shelter assylum seekers.

None of this should be happening. If the Mayor wants to do the right thing, he should be talking to the President about closing our borders. Enough is enough already.

Finding a solution to one problem by creating another problem is not the answer. Kids need those fields to play.

Middle and lower income children in NYC already have VERY limited field options to play outdoor team sports. Please don't take away one of the largest and most needed options.

Our kids needs outdoor spaces for practicing sport which helps their physical and psychical health.

There are plenty of empty armories and office buildings in the city. NYC’s kids have been thru enough. Keep the fields for them to play!

Randall's Island is necessary youth recreational space that allows families to live in NYC. Reducing the capacity, which is already stretched in the city, would reduced the attractiveness of living in NYC for people with children. I believe it would eventually lead to more families moving out of the city.

My child has, and continues to play soccer in the very fields in question here. Hopefully, a better solution can be found to assist those who need it, without disrupting an important location for our kids.

Please do not close the fields.

The city can find alternative solutions for the asylum-seekers while preserving the outdoor space for the NYC children
