With all due respect to solving the migration issues and homeless crisis wracking NYC, and the need to continue to provide a safe place to everyone in the city who needs it, we owe it to all residents of NYC to find a better solution than claiming eminent domain of randalls island fields for housing migrants. The city already has a dearth of green space and place space for the residents of NYC compared to other large cities around the world, and this would further exacerabate the issue. let's work with landlords of underoccupied commercial space and zoning commissions to convert this space to living quarters for our migrants - post-COVID there is ample space for thes people.

Please find somewhere else for this shelter that is not currently being used by our children. We cannot solve one problem and then cause others in the meantime.

The solution to this problem that NYC politicians created should not be to penalize NYC children and families.

Use more of the closed hotels and vacant buildings all over the city before taking away some of our children's open play spaces. This location also make no sense to help those migrants find work nearby,

I feel for the migrants, but the diverse soccer culture of nyc is important too. And the newcomers can use the fields to play the beautiful game too!

There are so few fields in NYC area. Truly hope to keep these for the children who live here and the events already scheduled on them.
