Preserve Randall's Island Fields 82-85 for NYC Children

Preserve Randall island for sports only . Our children’s US Citizen are more important as they are our future. I understand the difficulty that the people are passing but we also have to think about our kids first this is there home .

While I sympathize with migrants coming to the city and struggling to find affordable housing, this decision would come at the detriment of the city’s children (including underprivileged children)

Please save the fields for our children!

Punishing young athletes isn’t the solution. Do better!

It would be a great disservice to the community to do this to these fields

Please do not take these fields away from our kids. They have almost nowhere to play as it is. This would have a very negative effect on them.

Very much want to find safe places to support immigrants. Our children have so few safe spaces that those needs to be preserved too. There are very few places for them to go and engage in healthy safe activities after school and on weekends. Let’s look at other solutions.

There is such limited space for children in the city to play sports. While we all may need to sacrifice, please don't look to the children first.

Our kids need this place. They physical exercise is very important for future wellbeing.

Difficult to understand that the only location that the city finds for shelter is one of the only spaces where our children can practice some sport

Leave these fields for our kids to exercise.

We need these fields for our children. There are other fields where the migrants could go.

Tax payers should have a say on how money is spent. Randall's Island is much needed for kids in the city.

The mental health of our children is already at risk. Taking away their ability to play sports is reckless. Please preserve the fields for them. They have already gone through enough.

Another example of the terrible consequences of the migrant crisis. This is horrible and shouldn’t be allowed. Thank you for your efforts to prevent!

Randall's Island was the most important safe haven for my three children during the COVID pandemic. All their schooling and activities closed, but Randall's Island fields allowed them to run around, play soccer, and keep socially distanced outside. Please do not restrict youth sports programming by using precious field space for other needs.
