Preserve Randall's Island Fields 82-85 for NYC Children

These fields are an essential resource for NYC youth

My children need those fields to run around, play soccer, play baseball and to have their own space. Please don’t take this space away from our children!

We have such limited open outdoor space for our children to grow and learn as city kids. It is critical to their development. Please please do not take this space away from them.

This is outright wrong and it threatens children and youth development in the city and their safety too.

Lets the kids play - fall sports are so important.

Hello, i am a kid who plays for Manhattan soccer club. It would be horrible if you take away our field space. We rarely have enough space on the whole island. Please keep these fields. They are personally my favorite fields as well as my soccer team. We all want the fields to stay. KEEP THE FIELDS!!!!!!!

This isn’t a solution and this hurts the citizens of the city. We are taxed so much to be here. Our children can’t use the fields?

Randall's Island is an important part of our children's lives and is not the right place for migrant housing. There are vacant office buildings in NYC looking for adaptive reuse. In addition, Staten Island has plenty of open space available. And NYS has 1,000 of acres already zoned for Residential. Or, the city shld just buy hotels in NYS for use by migrants - will be cheaper and less corrupt than the free for all the city is (knowingly) signing itself up for. Why is the City looking for the most expensive and most inconvenient option for the most New Yorkers?

Newly arrived migrants seeking shelter need adequate weatherized housing, not makeshift tents on Randall’s Island.

Taking away infrastructure for children due to the first wave of sanctuary immigrants is not a solution. What, next year NYC takes away the rest of Randall’s and then what … Pier 42 and East River Park? Then Pier 40? This city needs a real plan not for the after-school and the sports children to subsidize the city’s lack of preparation.

All the City’s children deserve access to this open space. It is a gem not to be lost. Think about your children. They deserve the City’s consideration as they are your up and coming voters.

As an immigrant I appreciate what the city is doing for them but definitely not to limit the complexities or parks which are the spaces where our youth is growing in a safe and physical environment.. definitely not agree on that!!

Field space is already so limited for our children in NYC. Sports are such an important part of growth - especially for inner city kids. Please do not go ahead with this action.

Our children are going to suffer on the hands of this ridiculous issue.
