These fields are an integral part of our children's lives. Fitness is important for the mind and body. NYC's kids have already lost years of the childhood with COVID. This is not the time to compound the problem.

My family and school children rely on the green space and rec fields at Randall’s. East Harlem does not have enough green space. Can another location be selected? Icahn parking lot for example?

As a compassionate and diverse community, we must find alternative solutions to address the needs of those seeking asylum without compromising the well-being of our children.

Please help us preserve the invaluable space that Randall’s island offers for our children.

This would be devastating to our children whom already have limited space to practice as NYC residents

Our kids need these fields to work out and release their stress . Active kids would improve their physical and mental skills.

This is a disgrace. Send these illegal Immigrants to their countries of origin. Or is your plan to kill the middle class? Get them out.

Agree with others: there must be humane alternatives to housing migrants by removing access to already scarce outdoor and recreational space and sports facilities in NYC. Please find alternatives that accomplish the same goal (example: parking at Yankee Stadium, etc.).

Terrible that the city is taking from kids for a problem the government has created.

Absolutely should not happen. NY is a very tight city, why would you add a shelter and hinder these children’s development.

We need field for the kids sports. Use yankee stadium parking lots the city paid for those and people should take the train to the games anyway.

its very challenging to find sports activities that provide a good program and that is located in a place where the kids can commute easily. This will be a significant loss for the kids and teenagers.

We need more recreational space for our youth and adults. Much available land in Albany
