It is not good for our state or our community. There has to be other alternatives than taking away this valuable public space.

If you keep electing politicians that welcome illegal aliens (sanctuary cities and states) and politicians (Biden and others) that have an open borders policy then you will continue to have these situations. Good luck with writing letters the illegals are already here and will continue to come as long as you can walk through our southern border.

Even Deblasio had the sense not to built on fields, they built on parking lot next to Ichan stadium, there is also an empty driving range.

I think there are other good alternative locations for a shelter for asylum seekers. This is not the right place as this is a unique area for NYC kids.

It’s very important for the kids to have creative activities. If you take that away then what. There’s a lot of old building that can be use for shelter put that money there.

Kids need these fields, NYC already has reduced availability for kids to utilize field space, and really any outdoor or sports activity.
