Randall’s fields have been an active place of play for teams and families running back generations upon generations.

This was already attempted, it didn’t work, and this was the wrong location to begin with. It’s isolating to the immigrant families and displacing to the hundreds if not thousands of socially and economically diverse kids and families to whom those fields are a vital public good for health, community, and well being.

Our children born here are suffering enough since covid and lack of fields already. Please remember to take care of those who live here already first.

Please keep our field open for the children’s recreational needs. It is a big impact on their physical and mental health.

Please preserve the surface for corn and the community to utilize. Neighborhood Park space is so limited for NY'ers as it is already.

As much as I support housing Asylum Seekers this is not the place for it. There are plenty of other spaces that can be used without sacrificing precious athletic space that already is scarce in the city. This is a lazy not well thought out move. Seriously, get it together.
