As a pediatrician in NYC and the mother of the captain of Bx Science Girls Varsity Lacrosse team I am disgusted by this. Public school kids in NYC have almost nowhere to exercise. Randall’s Island is crucial to them for play space. Send these migrants elsewhere. Don’t house them on my tax dime. Not at the expense of our kids who deserve green areas to play.

Please keep those field for the kids. There should be a solution in other areas of the City.

NYC’s children deserve areas to improve their health and wellness. This is an absolute disgrace.

I want immigrants to have good housing. There are other less disruptive places. We need these fields. Let’s make everyone comfortable and happy

IT IS APPALLING THAT THE CITY IS TAKING AWAY OUR CHILDREN’S LIMITED SPORTS FIELDS (of parents who pay exorbitant taxes!!!) for asylum seekers. IF WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS, then DON’T ACCEPT THEM!!!!! I’m a Democrat but I look so forward to voting against mayor Adams in the next election!!!!!!!

New York students need the fields. Another area should be found.

We have a shortage of fields for our youth, Surely there must be other alternatives.

Don’t please. Those are the fields that are close to the walking bridge. Schools play there teams play there.

Please do not take away opportunities for exercise and fresh air from our city’s children who are greatly in need of it. Our city’s children should be our number one priority, and their health and well-being should never be sacrificed for any reason. On the contrary, more investment should be made in our city’s children. They should be shown our unwavering support. They are the key to a better future for this city and the whole country.

This is an outrage for our young people in NYC who rely on these spaces to maintain their physical and mental Health! This calls for immediate updates to the existing fields including new turf.

Please send these people to other states!!! They will be not able to afford living in NYC after the temporary housing is finished, therefore it makes no sense and sets them up for failure.

It’s ridiculous to cause harm to kids in favor of people who illegally have come here
