I am horrified and disgusted that Mayor Adams would take these fields from our children. NYC children have so little outdoor field space for school and extracurricular sports already.

This is absurd. I pay taxes to reside in NYC and they are giving the fields to people here illegally who pay for nothing.

Taking away what limited outdoor recreation space we have from our youth throughout the 5 boroughs is NOT the answer to this humanitarian crisis!

Please do not close the fields. My children love coming to Randals island and having a break from the city and getting to play sports. It is so important to our family.

These fields are necessary for the well being of our children as there aren’t many open spaces in the City for them to play sports.

My kids play baseball here they need this space for kids and adults to be active and participate in local sports. The city is already short on fields that are accessible to most.

While it is a heartbreaking situation, our leaders need to understand that if they don’t heed the will of New Yorkers, more and more families will move out. This will give NYC the same fate as SF.

This crises is completely NYC's "own making" and our kids' soccer fields should not be sacrificed because of poor policies coming from city hall.

The fields at Randals are so important for city kids to be able to get out, run around and exercise. We cannot lose our fields. It would be a major loss.

This is unacceptable. As it is, the kids have nowhere to play sports.

We pay taxes, pay for kids to play sports & yet no regards for tax paying citizens. We work hard to provide for our children & keep them active with physical activity on weekends & yet this will be cancelled!

I understand that these migrants are trying to find a better life here but there is plenty of unused space all over New York leave the soccer fields for playing

Deserves too be used for the youth, not our fault that immigrants keep coming here.

I coach at both a middle school and soccer academy in Manhattan where those fields specifically 82-85 are crucial fields for our practice and game times, this spans across several sports I coach where not only my couple of hundreds of students use but we also share the space with many other schools, academies and organizations that desperately need the field space due to the scarcity of available open fields in New York City. If these fields are closed, numerous programs would be left with even more limiting sources to provide outdoor space for thousands of children.
