I have been a victim of this real estate turmoil myself. I had booked a pre construction in hopes of owning a new home for my family but the market took a U Turn leaving me with no option to close. I have already lost a significant deposit .

I strongly encourage government bodies to get involved and support this vital sector of real estate development. Time is running out, and without prompt action, significant damage could be inflicted on the Canadian economy.

I have faced severe crisis 3 years back as a preconstruction home buyer. The builder (ZANCOR HOMES), told me that the closing has been indefinity delayed due workers strike. I booked my flight for a vacation, then after a week suddenly they said they told me to come after after a week for the closing. That was the time when mortgages had become very difficult. It took me 3 months to get a mortgage and I got fined $35,000 from the builder. I have documented proof of everything. The government should really do some thing to stop this rash behavior

Government should act now to save Canadian from financial crisis. People already lost their assets and now are losing health. Our and our kids future is at risk. It’s all due ultra low to ultra high interest rates.
