my closing on a pr-construction condo unit is on Feb 2026 and I will not be able to close....I will walk out and loosing my 20% deposit.....:(

To support the struggling housing market during the current downturn for pre- construction investment engagement we respectfully urge the temporary suspension of all real estate–related government charges—including HST, Development Charges, land transfer taxes, parking levies, and school-related fees—which currently account for nearly 30% of total project costs. This may effect directly to affordability and drop the average housing prices substantially

So many effectees, govt is responsible , to get building permit fee huge permit issued 10 projects came every week now people dtuck
