Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

This imposition on people already hit by austerity is disgraceful. Coming from a Labour run Council especially. You ahould be ashamed of yourselves.

Please dont increase the fees its going to kill us have some sympathy

5% increase is understandable but this ridiculous. No respect for the dead.

How can so much increase be justified

Extortionist costs considering we .pay all our life's into the system.

I know BCC needs additional resources but hiking up burial fees by more than 50% is unacceptable. Dealing with a bereavement is a stressful and very emotional time without adding more stress of financial burdens. I hope BCC reconsider this move.

Most people cannot afford these fees so pls keep the original fees
